orchardJuly 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The already star studded “Glee” cast added another golden feather to its crown as actor Chord Overstreet is reportedly set to join “Glee” in Season 2. The news was announced by the FOX entertainment channel on Monday that added that the character of Chord Overstreet will be a recurring one during the show that is scheduled to hit the small screen this fall.

According to the announcement, Chord Overstreet will join “Glee” as Sam, a McKinley High School star athlete. While at the beginning of the show he would be seen playing the role of a protege of Finn, Sam would eventually turn out to be a competitor of Finn. Although FOX has not elaborated on the role of Sam much, “Glee” fanatics and media sources have already started speculating the kind of role Chord Overstreet will be seen playing. Many bloggers have come up with ideas that Chord Overstreet or Sam will first grow under the tutelage of Finn but gradually emerge as a person with more vocal qualities than his tutor. Many others have voiced that Sam will act as a rival to Finn in some other places as well. Sam might also fight for the affection of Rachel (Lea Michele).

However, Chord Overstreet is not the only person to join the cast of “Glee” in season two. Musical singer Charice Pempengco along with John Stamos will be appearing in the season two of “Glee”. John Stamos will be seen playing a love interest of Emma (Jayma Mays). However, all eyes are now set on Chord Overstreet’s appearance.
