Cheryl Cole’s image used on Russian brides website
February 17th, 2011 - 7:56 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattMoscow, Feb 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cheryl Cole realized that her image was being used to dupe unsuspecting people on a Russian website this week.
The website which is called “Russian Brides” claims that they supply brides all over the world. They claimed that they did in fact supply the X Factor judge as a bride to someone.
That is the problem because Cheryl claims that that particular claim is totally false and has no merit.
The Daily Star quoted a source close to the star as saying that, “She is one of the world’s most beautiful women and its not surprising people want to use her image to attract customers.”
The source continues further to tell the newspaper that Cheryl has not endorsed the “Russian Brides” brand and that the claim was totally false.
A spokesperson for the Russian bride agency later told the Daily Star that their claim was a “mistake.” Subsequently he announced that the image has been taken off the website to correct it.
Cheryl Cole was married to English football star, Ashley Cole. The pair’s marriage ended after it emerged that Ashley has cheated with another woman. Cheryl has subsequently moved to the United States where she hopes to start a career in acting.
