Cheryl Cole’s Blood Group Diet Slammed by Health Experts
December 16th, 2010 - 12:01 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonDec 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Twenty seven year old Cheryl Cole made headlines when she shared the reason for her thin frame was the so called ‘Blood Group Diet’ in which members choose what to eat according to what their blood type is. But dietitians are calling it the worst celebrity diet ever.
Health experts warn that the Blood Type diet could lead to serious health issues, since the members are told to cut out entire food groups, such as dairy, or meats. Cheryl Cole said that she sticks to the Eat Right 4 Your Type diet, and avoids those foods which are not supposed to be eaten by her blood type, according to the diet. And she is not the only one. Miranda Kerr, Martine McCutcheon, and Sir Cliff Richard all admitted to being on the blood type diet at one time or another.
Created by Dr D Admao, the blood type diet dangerously insists that certain blood types completely cut out important nutrients. People with type ‘O’ blood are told t eat meat, and no carbs, and vigorously do aerobics. Type ‘A’ people should be vegetarians, according to the plan, and type ‘B’ can have meat and dairy. For ‘AB’ types can have food from both ‘A’ and ‘B’ type groups.
