Cheryl Cole wants old house after divorce
June 21st, 2010 - 4:13 pm ICT by IANSLondon, June 21 (IANS) Singer Cheryl Cole, who has filed a divorce suit against her estranged husband Ashley Cole, is now eyeing their old mansion.
The former couple bought a house called Hurtmore House in Surrey, England, for 3.5 million pounds in 2008, after Ashley was first accused of cheating. Following string of accusations in February this year, Cheryl announced in April that she was divorcing him, reports dailystar.co.uk.
Initially, Cheryl refused to take any financial settlement from the footballer and allowed him to stay in their mansion. But now she seems to have changed her mind.
“Cheryl doesn’t want to live anywhere else. At first she didn’t think she wanted it and felt like a fresh start somewhere new. But she made the mansion her home and even though she has been away a lot lately she sees it as her base when she’s in Britain,” said a source.
