London, Sept 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has reportedly turned down an offer to be a judge on the show Britain’s Got Talent. The former UK X Factor judge was linked to the show as a replacement for stand-up comedian Michael McIntyre who left after just a season on the show.

In a report carried by the British newspaper The Sun, a friend of the Cheryl was quoted as saying that, “There’s no way she will do Britain’s Got Talent. She thinks it’s all a massive joke. Why on earth would she do that show when she turned down The X Factor?”

Britain’s Got Talent is one of the most popular reality television shows in the United Kingdom. Original judges of the show Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan have already left. David Hasselhoff and McIntyre were brought on board as judges last season.

With the exit of McIntyre and the uncertainty of Hasselhoff’s future, the producers of the show were desperately looking for replacements. Amanda Holden remains the only original judge of the show currently.

Cheryl seemed the perfect person that the producers were looking for especially after media reports suggested that the show’s bosses were not impressed with Hasselhoff’s performance as a judge last season.
