London, Sep 13 (IANS) Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has reportedly offered her support to Wayne Rooney’s wife Coleen after the footballer’s infidelities were exposed.

Cheryl has reportedly texted Coleen a message of support - urging her to “stay strong” through her marriage woe.

The singer, who recently divorced her husband soccer ace Ashley Cole, sent the text this week after revelations emerged about Wayne paying hookers for sex.

Coleen is said to have told her friends and family that Cheryl’s support meant a lot.

“Cheryl and Coleen are close friends and text and phone each other regularly, even though they live a long way apart,” thesun.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

“Cheryl’s latest text was very short, but she made it clear she was thinking of Coleen and understood what she’s going through. Coleen was really pleased and showed it to a few friends. No one understands better than Cheryl what it’s like to be in that situation.

“She hasn’t offered any advice or suggested what Coleen should do - she just wanted her to feel less alone,” the source added.
