Cheryl Cole not reverting to original surname, Tweedy
June 27th, 2010 - 3:57 pm ICT by ANILondon, June 27 (ANI): Cheryl Cole will not be reverting to her original surname, Tweedy, according to sources.
The Girls Aloud singer, 26, was said to have been shocked when Simon Cowell used her maiden name earlier this week at London auditions for the X Factor.
“Cheryl had no idea Simon was going to say that. It wasn’t planned and she was shocked,” New Of the World quoted a source as saying.
The source added: “She’s Cheryl Cole now and has spent years building up a successful brand - she’s not prepared to turn her back on it. Tweedy doesn’t feel right.” (ANI)
