Cheryl Cole fan evicted from Mansfield flat over loud music
February 26th, 2010 - 4:59 pm ICT by ANILondon, Feb 26 (ANI): A man, who is a fan of Girls Aloud member Cheryl Cole, was ordered to move out of his house for playing songs loudly on his stereo until the early hours of the morning.
Martin Bramwell, 22, who lived in Mansfield, was handed an eviction notice by a judge after he made neighbours’ lives a misery playing loud music until 4am.
According to Mansfield District Council in Nottinghamshire, he was also “singing along raucously, banging doors and shouting”.
One neighbour, who had suffered the noise for more than a year, ended up staying with friends because the situation became so unbearable.
District Judge Wall, sitting at Mansfield County Court, described it as one of the worst cases of nuisance he had seen for some time.
And despite having an injunction imposed on him in October 2009, Bramwell continued playing loud music.
The situation got so bad that the council ended up installing noise-monitoring machines and these recordings were played to the court.
Bramwell now has until 4pm on March 3 to leave the property, which is in Ladybrook Lane, Mansfield.
“Justice has been done. No one should have to face this type of anti-social behaviour,” Sky News quoted councillor Danny McCrossan, Portfolio Holder for Public Protection at Mansfield District Council, as saying.
“Martin Bramwell was made aware that his actions could have serious consequences but he chose to continue to behave in a way that was anti-social and, therefore, was evicted,” he added. (ANI)
