Cheran’s vigorous promotion for ‘Pokkisham’
August 25th, 2009 - 10:58 pm ICT by Sampurn WirePerhaps, it’s something of a bold attempt. Director Cheran’s “Pokkisham’ that hit the screens a couple of weeks ago (august 14) got not so-good verdicts. Immediately, Cheran trimmed a few sequences to reduce the lengthy duration (3 and half hours) and he could witness few changes.
Meanwhile, the filmmaker has decided to turn more spotlights on “Pokkisham’. He will visit 10 prominent theatres of Tamil Nadu and will hold the screening of his film. It has been confirmed that actress Padmapriya too will accompany Cheran throughout this promotional activity.
The duo will first visit the theatre in Trichy, followed by Tanjore, Coimbatore and so on. Unlike other films, Cheran hasn’t demanded producers to spend money for these statewide promotional activities.
