There are few films that doesn’t make big in box office and lately earn its reputation at home video markets and film festivals. Even the producers of World’s best movie “Shawshank Redemption’ struggled to cover-up the production cost. But later in times, the film was spotted making grandiose sales at home video markets after being constantly screened at film festivals.
It looks like Cheran’s “Pokkisham’ too has been getting through similar phase. The film was released on August 14, 2009 and flunked terribly. But now, it has been winning rave reviews at film festivals. Recently, the film was screened at Mumbai International Film Festival and now Cheran will screen this film at other international films to be held at Trivandrum and Chennai.
It’s noteworthy that “Pokkisham’ will be the only Tamil film screened at Chennai International Film Festival.
