Los Angeles, Feb 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Cher Lloyd’s background was one of the biggest issues on Twitter.

The 17-year-old singer endured several abuses because of her gypsy background. The X Factor finalist’s background was revealed during an episode of the Channel 4 program Big Fat Gypsy Weddings.

One tweet said that, “Ho i swear I just seen half ur fam on channel 4”. Another tweet was more offensive than the earlier one. It said “Cher had kindly given me a gypsy cookbook. First instruction on every recipe ’steal a chicken’”.

As expected Cher wouldn’t let those comments pass without letting out her opinion. She tweeted back saying “keep chuckin those gypsy comments in, i’ll tarmac ya drive and trim ya hedges for ya if ya like? No shame in me”.

Cher will be coming out with her album this August.

Gypsies remain the most unwanted people in Europe. They have suffered years of abuse and neglect wherever they find themselves. Incredibly back in their own homeland of Romania, they are also abused.

One tweet summed up the way gypsies are seen by some people in the world. The tweet said “Gypsy life expectancy is 50. That means we probably have another 33 years of Cher Lloyd.”
