Sep 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) It was a night of glamor, glitz and grandeur. The MTV VMA Video Music Award 2010 kicked off last night at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The host of the show Chelsea Handler left no stones unturned to entertain the audience to its fullest. The “Chelsea Lately” host touched every recent controversies and made fun of them in the show. Her opening skit tickled funny bones of the audience as saw the pre-taped skit she is seen getting ready for the show and meeting Lindsay Lohan along the way.

The skit showed that Lindsay Lohan making fun of her own struggles and then the host of the show gives a bit of advice by telling her not to “embarrass” her! After the skit was shown Chelsea Handler came to stage amidst a group of dancers wearing a house on her head a weird outfit. However, later she dropped down her dress to reveal a simple black outfit. In her opening monologue, Chelsea Handler addressed the crowd saying that she plans to stay sober in the entire show but she is high as a “kite”. In her monologue, she made fun of almost everybody in the music fraternity. However, on a serious note she talked about Roseanne Barr, who last time hosted VMA in 1994.

In her monologue she talked about Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and jokingly said that Justin Bieber’s mother has given birth to her “401k” plan. About Lady Gaga and Beyonce the host said that they don’t like “wearing pants” after she watched their videos. The most hilarious joke was hinted at Kanye West and Taylor Swift where she calls the rapper as “big black elephant” and then a person with a red dress comes on stage with an award on hand. The host then kicks him saying that its his award and his choice completely.
