Chaya Singh Debuts In A Bengali Film

July 15, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Despite possessing the potential of performing challenging roles, Chaya Singh couldn’t make it bigger in Kollywood for unknown reasons. She was often asked to repeat her “Thiruda Thirudi’ role in so many Tamil films that it made her opt for other regional films. She has won critical acclaims for her exceptional roles in Kannada and Malayalam films since then.
After a long sabbatical gap, Chaya Singh made her comeback in Kollywood with Madhumitha’s “Vallamai Tharayo’ that helped her gain both appreciation as well as accolades. As a matter of fact, her spellbinding performance made filmmaker Naga sign her for “Ananthapurathu Veedu’ that is creating high waves at the box office now.
Many filmmakers have approached Chaya Singh after witnessing her extraordinary performance in this film but she remains selective. As of now, the actress is excited for having made her debut in an untitled Bengali movie. The plot revolves around her character of a daughter-in-law, who ardently strives to uplift her family from deplorable conditions.
