Just with the launch of the third season of Charm School last week, it has already began getting immense audience appreciation. The third season of the Charm School will bring in the Class of 2009. The greatest attraction of this season is none other than Ricki Lake who will play the role of the school’s headmistress. The ardent fans of Charm School will remember that in the very first season of the show it was hosted by Mo’Nique. In the second season she was replaced by Sharon Osborne.

In addition to this change, this season’s school deans are Stryker, who rose to fame as the host of the radio show Loveline, and Alani “La La” Vazquez, who rose to fame for hosting hugely popular shows like TRL, Flavor of Love and Real Chance at Love. Like in the earlier seasons, in this season also the contestants are the losers from other reality dating series in VH1. However, this season includes the participants of Bret Michaels’ show and Real Chance of Love for the first time in the series’ history.

The show’s host Ricki Lake seems to be undaunted by the potential hazards of the show and has revealed in front of the media that she is enjoying the whole experience that the show is offering her. The former “Ricki Lake” host said, “All of these shows are derivative of the shows that we used to do. …The topics, some of the story lines, they’re all very similar to what we did every day on the show for 11 years. When you have dynamic people that have some sort of conflict and put them in a confined space together, it’s bound to be dramatic.”
