London, Sep 11 (ANI): The girl who lost her man to Charlotte Church has revealed that he had fallen for the star even before her split with Gavin Henson.

Distraught Cath Jones, 23, revealed how guitarist Jonathan Powell suddenly ended their two-year romance, blaming it on an overpowering infatuation with the ‘Voice of an Angel’ star.

Jones was jilted a month before Church and Henson announced their short-lived engagement - and two months before they broke up.

“I couldn’t believe it back in March when Jonny said those words, ‘I’m in love with Charlotte Church.’ I didn’t see that coming. I was shocked and upset, crying and screaming at him,” News of the World quoted her as saying.

“But he ended up in tears too. He was in a mess and it was all very odd. I knew it was only a matter of time before they got together,” she said.

Despite being smitten with Charlotte, 24, Powell insisted then that there had been no sex between them.

“Jonny said he didn’t cheat on me physically - but emotionally he did if he fell in love with someone else,” she said.

“I’d have almost preferred it if he’d just slept with some random woman on a one-night stand rather than telling me he’s in love. To me that feels worse.

Church and Powel reportedly broke up their 5-year-old relationship for the sake of their two children. (ANI)
