London, Sept 19 (ANI): Singer Charlotte Church has revealed that staying apart for a while made her and ex beau Gavin Henson end their marriage plan.

“Me and Gavin split up for quite a while before we actually announced it,” News of the World quoted her as saying.

“I think we kind of grew apart, I mean there was a lot of love in the relationship, but we did kind of grow apart, and neither of us could really understand why but we just kind of did,” she said.

Charlotte insisted she did intend to marry Gavin when she announced their engagement in a trashy mag, despite splitting just six weeks later.

“We tried to go the right way, we tried to do the right thing. I wanted to get married to him, and he wanted to marry me. We really did mean it at the time,” she said.

“Then he went away for a while, and he changed and thought about stuff.

“And then because he’d been away for so long, I’d thought about stuff, and when he came back, we were like, ‘I just don’t think this is right, I don’t think it’s going to work’,” she added. (ANI)
