Charlize Theron’s sudden exit from The Danish Girl
September 17th, 2009 - 2:17 pm ICT by Sampurn WireCharlize Theron has refused to play artist Einar Wegener’s wife opposite Nicole Kidman in the new film, The Danish Girl. She had earlier agreed to the role but left suddenly. The film is based on David Ebershoff’s novel about Wegener, which highlights him undergoing a procedure to become a woman in the1930s and will be co-produced by Kidman. Tomas Alfredson will direct it, and as of yet, no one has been chosen to play Gerda Wegener.
