Charlize Theron to star with Tom Cruise in thriller

New York, Nov 4 (IANS) Hollywood actress Charlize Theron is negotiating to star with Tom Cruise in “The Tourist”, the remake of French thriller “Anthony Zimmer” to be directed by Bharat Nalluri. Theron would play an Interpol agent who uses an American tourist in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair, reports Hollywood.com.
The original starred Sophie Marceau and Yvan Attal and was written and directed by Jerome Salle.
Production is expected to begin by March, says Variety magazine. The script is currently getting a polish by Christopher McQuarrie.
Theron was most recently seen with Will Smith in “Hancock”. She will be seen shortly starring in “The Burning Plain” and alongside Viggo Mortensen in John Hillcoat’s “The Road”.
