London, Feb 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron has split from her boyfriend Stuart Townsend. They were one of the most stable couples of the fickle-minded Hollywood industry, as their union lasted 9 years. Their spilt came as a huge shock to the industry at large. It was Charlize who took the decision of dumping Stuart Townsend. A source claims that Stuart is reportedly very upset, that Charlize bid good-bye to their relationship. The source also adds that Charlize took the hard decision, after she realized that their relationship was over during a Mexican holiday. Charlize has taken off the antique ‘commitment ring’ that Stuart Townsend gave her as a symbol of their relationship.

She felt that instead of being lovers, they had become more like brothers and sisters, so she called an end to their relationship. Since the spilt Charlize has moved into her Hollywood Hills home, which she owns, whereas her ex-boyfriend of nine years Stuart is staying at their jointly-owned Malibu home, till all the matters are sorted out. Charlize is a very successful actress who gets over $12.7 million per movie, whereas Stuart isn’t that successful at all.

A friend of the actress said that, ‘They are sorting out their finances at the moment, as they have been together for so long that many of their financial affairs are intertwined. Charlize has never made a big deal of it, but the truth of the matter is that she has been the major breadwinner. She truly loved Stuart but the relationship ran its course. He is heartbroken but she is insisting it is all over.’
