Detroit, April 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Charlie Sheen’s “My Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour would begin tomorrow but initial media reports suggesting fans are scrambling for tickets have turned out to be false.

Recent media reports indicated that the opening day of the tour at the 5,000 capacity Fox Theater has been sold out. As it later turned out, some of the tickets are still available at the official ticket sale website Ticketmaster. Initial reports said the tickets were sold out within minutes of its release.

New reports on the Internet suggest that there are left-over tickets at websites like StubHub.com, NoFeesTickets.com and Bargainseatsonline.com. According to CNBC report, the available tickets being offered now are the so-called “secondary ticketing.”

Charlie Sheen’s spokesman, Larry Solters, in an interview with Billboard said that, “A ticket sold is a ticket sold, whether it’s from Ticketmaster, CharlieSheen.com or the box office… Where they go after that, frankly we don’t know. We all know a re-seller will often post their tickets to multiple sites to promote their product. It might be on multiple sites for the same ticket.”

Solters later in the interview told Billboard that about 100,000 tickets have been sold so far.
