Charlie Sheen’s divorce with Brooke Mueller finalized
May 3rd, 2011 - 12:10 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, May 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Charlie Sheen’s divorce with Brook Mueller has been finalized by a court. TMZ reports that the two reached an agreement that was accepted by the court. According to the details of the settlement, Sheen will keep the family home at LA but he will have to pay Mueller $1 million to do that.
Sheen who recently lost his high paying job at “Two and a Half Men” will be required to provide child support of $55,000 every month. The amount is not part of the lump sum of $757,698 that Sheen has to pay to Mueller. The actor lost custody of his children recently.
Sheen and Mueller fell off and they filed for divorce. Events were triggered by a 2009 domestic violence incident. Sheen was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault. He managed to escape jail term when he was given a suspended jail sentence.
Sheen has been surrounded by controversy lately. After series of off-screen troubles, Sheen was fired from his $1.8 million per episode show at the “Two and a Half Men.” He has since then embarked on a lone nationwide tour in the United States on what he calls the “Truth tour.”
