Aspen, Aug 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Looks like it is jail time for actors! While starlet Lindsay Lohan will shortly be completing her sentence behind bars, actor Charlie Sheen may soon be beginning his. The television actor has been asked to attend a hearing at a court in Aspen, where judges will try him on a domestic violence case. Charges of domestic abuse had been slapped against Charlie Sheen, who is the highest paid actor in American television, by his wife Brooke Mueller.
Richard Cummins, the actor’s lawyer who will accompany him to the Aspen court hearing on Monday, said that he is hopeful about hearing something in favor of his client on the 2nd of August. Charlie Sheen faces felony and assault charges in court after a report of abuse against his wife during last year Christmas. Though the actor had pleaded ‘not guilty’ in the courts in an earlier hearing on the 15th of March, his pleas had landed on deaf ears.
According to reports submitted by the police authorities after the incident took place last Christmas, Charlie Sheen was seen knife in hand, trying to kill his wife. The actor was arrested by the emergency authorities under his real name Carlos Irwin Estevez. If every charge of felony and assault that has been slapped against Charlie Sheen stands proven in court, he may have to face at least five years behind bars report police officials. However it is now being reported that the defense and prosecution lawyers have entered into an agreement that Charlie Sheen’s punishment be limited to a non-consecutive jail time, along with a fine and community service.
