August 2, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Charlie Sheen has been ordered by the court to appear before it on Monday. The court in Aspen, Colorado has scheduled the hearing after Sheen was charged with assaulting his wife, Brooke Mueller. He is expected to plead guilty to the charges of assault which had taken place during Christmas. His wife does not stay with him at present.

Charlie Sheen has been trying to keep a very low profile of late while his attorneys are engaged in striking a plea deal with the District Attorney’s office in Aspen. Sheen himself is hoping for a quick agreement that will make him eligible to work on his CBS Show ‘Two And A Half Men’ which is likely to return to production on the 6th of August, 2010.

RadarOnline reported a source who said that they expect Sheen to make his appearance in court. The hearing will be conducted by Judge James Boyd, added the source. Yale Galanter, Sheen’s lawyer is reportedly pleased with the progress made in this case. He firmly believes that a deal will get struck as the relationship between the District attorney’s Office and himself has improved considerably. The two sides have had their differences in the past, he concluded.

Sheen is now hoping to get away with a misdemeanor assault charge which will require him to serve 30 days in jail. The hearing had previously been scheduled to have taken place in June but Sheen and his lawyers had disagreed with the District Attorney then over the work release program.
