Charlie Sheen back in ‘Major League 3′
February 24th, 2011 - 2:23 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Feb 24 (IANS) Actor Charlie Sheen is set to reprise his role as Rick Vaughn in a the third instalment of sport comedy “Major League”.Director David S. Ward has confirmed that the story is in place for the comedy movie with Sheen in the lead, reports contactmusic.com.
“It’s 20 years later and Charlie’s character has been out of baseball since he gave up the walk-off homerun in the seventh game of the World Series,” Ward said. “But the team wants him back to mentor this young fireballing relief pitcher.”
He also confirmed the 45-year-old star is “interested” in the role and production could get underway soon.
“Charlie is interested in doing it, we’re taking the first steps on it. Now it’s just a matter of putting the movie together in the timeframe we have. Charlie was a window coming up,” Ward added.
