Jan 10, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The first SNL of 2010 was quite a spectacular event. It was hosted by a R&B diva and Basketball star. Alicia keys and Charles Barkley sizzled at the show with consummate ease and kept the viewers hooked to their seats. The basketball star acted as the host of the show for the last time way back in 1993. He was accompanied that time by Nirvana, who were the musical guest. However, the last thing the viewers expected was a funny act by the basketball player who tried to look like his co-host. It was a hilarious scene.

The tall and muscular former NBA player stunned the viewers by donning a tight dress and curly wig. His act of mimicking the sultry singer took everyone by surprise. The former NBA player took a funny dig at himself in the show. It was a reference to his drunken driving case that made headlines in January last year. He also made mention of the infamous womanizers of the league. However, he was not the only one who stole the limelight at SNL. Alicia Keys also made her presence felt. Earlier she acted as the host of SNL in collaboration with actress Reese Witherspoon. Alicia Keys played 2 popular songs during her stint. The songs included one f her chartbusters sung with rapper Jay-Z.

The upcoming episode of SNL will have plenty of attractions for the viewers. SNL has roped in Sigourney Weaver, who wooed the movie buffs in James Cameron’s magnum opus Avatar. The Tings Tings will join the show as musical guest, as per the reports.
