- Fresno (California), Aug.20 (ANI):Charanjit Singh Bath, a farmer and an entrepreneur from Punjab, has done the Sikhs proud by being the largest grower of raisins not just in the United States, but the world.
Charanjit Singh Bath, the Raisin grower, narrates how before venturing into grapes farming he worked with other growers and picked up various skills related to grapes farming. It included learning about how to get the farm ready, cultivating etcetera.
“I started my own farming in 1969 with 50 acres of land and today I grow grapes on 14,000 acres out of which 10,000 acres is owned by me and the rest is on lease,” says Singh.
“As an individual, I am the biggest producer of raisins in the world,” claimed Bath.
People living in India can be successful by investing money. They come to U.S. after paying a hefty amount of 50,000 to 100,000 USD.
Bath tells that one can earn handsomely in the U.S. and the opportunity and scope is tremendous. Here, you can get easy loans and whatever work you do, a profit is ensured. But, in India, too, people have been rewarded with great success as they have the blessings of their parents. Here in the U.S. one has to work for everything on your own, including owning a house.
“My biggest target is to provide maximum employment to the needy. I love doing a job where I can absorb more and more people. In farming alone I have employed 100-200 people,” said Bath (ANI)
