Chace Crawford comes to a deal with prosecutors in pot bust case
April 29th, 2011 - 11:56 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, April 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) TMZ has reported that Chace Crawford has reached a deal with prosecutors in Texas that might see him go free. The actor was arrested last June for possessing marijuana. If he manages to meet the rules outlined in the deal, he will stay out of jail.
According to TMZ, the 25-year-old will be walking free if he manages to stay out of trouble for the next 12 months. Under the agreed deal, Crawford’s criminal sheet will be wiped out clean if he manages to stay out of the way of the police for the next 12 months. He has also been given 24-hour community service. He is expected to carry the community service in midsummer.
Though Crawford is going to stay a free man for the period, TMZ reports that he is supposed to report to a probation officer every month for the next 12 months. Violation of any of the rules will see the actor thrown to the courts.
According to TMZ, Crawford was arrested in Plano last June. When he was arrested, the drugs were found in a car that he was occupying.
There has not been any word from Crawford’s camp concerning the latest report.
