Celine Dion Las Vegas, Feb 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Celine Dion has revealed that, after five years of performances which were consistently sold out, she is returning to Vegas. She has accepted a three year residency at the Caesars Palace Theatre to begin in 2011. The deal requires Celine to perform seventy shows a year.

Celine confirmed the news to People Magazine “Its happening! Great songs, great lyrics. I think it is going to be very touching.” She will have 31 musicians backing her up as she sings “all of the songs from my repertoire that people want to hear.” She will also be adding several songs selected form classic cinema. “I just love the big orchestra and the black and white movies and romance,” she explained.

“It’s going to be a brand new show. I am very excited again…We’re not trying to do the Vegas Show again. We’re not trying to do the Taking Chances again. We’re trying to, and we will have a 31 piece orchestra. We’re going to sing. We’re going to do great music,Hollywood Movie Tribute,” she added.

Celine added that her 70 show deal will be done according to her son’s schedule. She and her husband, Rene Angelil, have a nine year old son, Rene-Charles. She added that everything she does is scheduled around her most important priority, being a mother.

As a matter of fact, Celine did not attend the opening of this year’s Winter Olympics in her home country of Canada, because at the time of planning, she thought that she would be too pregnant to perform. She was originally scheduled to attend, but had to change that when she found out that she was pregnant in 2009. She suffered a miscarriage afterward, however, but says that she is determined to have another child.
