Oct 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Canadian pop diva Celine Dion welcomed her healthy twin boys on Friday. The representative of the singer announced the news to the media. A reputed media source reported that the babies weigh 5 pounds 10 ounches and 5 pounds 4 ounches respectively. The yet-to-be named baby boys were born via Caesarean section at St. Mary’s Medical Centre in West Palm Beach Florida.

The charismatic singer’s representative told a reputed media source that the 42 year old musical artist, her husband Rene Angelil and their 9-year-old son Rene Charles are presently “thrilled” and excited. However, the spokesperson also announced that the babies will have to stay for next few days in an incubator as they were born “prematurely”. The doctors have reportedly said that the babies were born at the 33rd week of her pregnancy.

Celine Dion’s spokesperson said that “If You Ask Me To” singer plans to discuss the names of her twins afterwards. Even Rene Angelil and Rene Charles were present in the hospital to welcome the youngest members of their family. Celine Dion was admitted to hospital last week to avoid premature delivery of her babies and also to get proper medical treatment during the final stages. Rene Angelil expressed his excitement and joy at the press conference few hours after the birth of the twins and he said that it was a “great” feeling when he cut the umbilical cords of her children. Celine Dion became pregnant after her sixth in-vitro fertilization (IVF) attempt which gave her the chance to conceive once again, her representative Kim Jakwerth said previously. However, the couple are now all set enjoy the bliss of parenthood once again.
