Celebs share their hangover cures

Melbourne, Dec 30 (ANI): New Year’s Day brings with it mighty hangovers, and many will be trying out different concoctions in an effort to cure them, though medically, there is no real cure for a hangover.
While Puerto Ricans swear by rubbing a slice of lemon in the armpit of their drinking arm before they start drinking, Russians believe in drinking the juice squeezed from a cucumber, and some Asiatic Indians prefer to drink a glass of their own wee, reports the Herald Sun.
Though there is no sure cure, some celebrities were asked to share what helps in curing their hangovers.Socialite Paris Hilton said that a quarter pounder burger filled with cheese and accompanied by lots of fries helps her.
The Naked Chef or Jamie Oliver swears by a double portion of eggs and bacon, while Aussie singer Dannii Minogue says vegemite and grated cheese grilled on toast always works for her.
Kylie Minogue preferred egg sandwiches, and Liz Hurley opted for not drinking too much in the first place.
Actress Kate Winslet said a sausage and bacon sandwich, a big glass of orange juice and a cup of sugary tea helps her, as the combination of vitamins and sugar perks her up.
Music mogul Simon Cowell revealed he does not remember when the last time was when he got drunk, though he cures his hangovers by getting plenty of exercise and drinking plenty of fruit juice.
Kiwi actor Russell Crowe swears by tequila on the rocks, and says that sticking to the drink will not give you a hangover.
Comedian Robbie Williams prefers two packets of cheese and onion crisps, a Mars bar and two cartons of cold Ribena Light fruit juice.
Cameron Diaz swears that grease is the only cure for a hangover, and says her remedy is a sandwich packed with bacon, and a beer, with the beer acting as a great hair of the dog.
Actor Colin Farrell would rather have loads of water and a fry-up, while Hugh Grant finds a plateful of spaghetti bolognese works wonders for him.
Brad Pitt found that being a parent is the biggest hangover cure for him, while ‘Pretty Woman’ star Julia Roberts says alternating between champagne and carrot juice works wonders.
For Bond star Daniel Craig, a stint in the sauna works best for him, while actor Christian Bale found running cures the hangover, and actress Renee Zellweger prefers a full English breakfast next morning or beans on toast.
Jennifer Lopez on the other hand has no hangovers; her secret to avoiding them is to not drink at all.
Food writer Nigella Lawson cures her hangover by consuming prairie oyster, which consists of an egg yolk, Tabasco, Worcester sauce, brandy and vinegar - all swallowed down in one gulp.
Roger Moore finds an ice cream for breakfast does the trick, as the coldness seems to act as an anaesthetising agent on his body, while Christina Aguilera prefers staying in bed and drinking plenty of fruit juice.
George Clooney says the cure to a hangover is not to get one, and while Billy Connolly believes in a cup of good strong tea, Prince Harry finds strawberry milkshakes to be the perfect hangover cure. (ANI)
