Zandra Rhodes, the celebrity fashion designer whose clients included Princess Diana, was reported to be involved in a car crash at San Diego. The celebrity fashion designer crashed her car through the front window of a hardware store, supposedly injuring a customer who was inside the shop at that time.
San Diego fire spokesman Maurice Luque says, “A 42 year old woman in the Meanley and Son Ace Hardware store was stuck when the car smashed into the store, hitting a table that slammed into her. The woman was readily taken into hospital.”
Zandra Rhodes is one of the British new wave designers who had put London as a front runner in the world fashion industry since the early 70’s. Zandra’s innovative approach can be seen in her usage of jeweled safety pins and tears which gained quite a large amount of popularity during the punk era. The celebrity fashion designer is well known for her association with the Late Princess Diana. She was also involved in designing costumes for the legendary Freddie Mercury, the front man of the iconic rock group Queen.
Zandra, who has already enjoyed her success with the renowned brand, Marks and Spencer is currently working with The Partnership in order to increase her brand presence within the licensing area. Reacting to the mishap Zandra told The San Diego Union-Tribune that she wasn’t hurt. Whether anyone has lodged a complaint against the celebrity fashion designer is not known yet. Zandra was unavailable for any further comments.
