Jan 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) BET’s ‘Celebration of Gospel‘, the much anticipated annual gospel music show was aired on the network on Sunday night and it turned out to be an extremely enchanting experience for all the viewers. The spectacular event was held at the famed Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on December 12 last year and it witnessed mesmerizing performances by a host of musical artists.

The Celebration of Gospel this year was all the more special as it marked the tenth anniversary of the much awaited event. The show was hosted by reputed author and much acclaimed comedian Steve Harvey, who added his own distinct entertaining and humorous touch to the show. Like every other year, the event showcased meaningful messages as well as uplifting performances by a large number of gifted musical artists, which ensured that the audiences are left with a breathtaking experience.

The annual event saw some of the most amazing musical performances by noted artists such as Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, James Fortune & FIYA, Shirley Caesar as well as a host of other gospel superstars. One of the major highlights of the show included “American Idol” winner Fantasia who performed with her mother Diane Barrino Barber. The show also witnessed performances by BeBe and CeCe Winans, who gave an impressive performance that kept all the audiences asking for more. Moreover, the show was also graced by performances from R&B artists Deborah Cox, Tamia and Kelly Price, which managed to grab the attention of the audiences. Meanwhile, like every other year, the annual gospel event managed to live up to the expectations of its audiences even this time around.
