London, May 30 (ANI): Actress Kim Cattrall avoided talking to her North American family while in London for her play ‘Private Lives’, as she feared losing the English accent she had developed for the stage.

Cattrall completely avoided calling her friends and relatives till she was done with the play.

“I was doing what they call Received Pronunciation which is the Queen’s English, so I was talking proper for about three months,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

She added: “And I couldn’t call home, because every time I did, I would go back into the rehearsal room with an American accent. So I was like, I can’t call home because I’ve got to stay in this accent.” (ANI)
