New York, Apr 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The gorgeous actress Catherine Zeta Jones is hoping that the judge would be lenient while sentencing her stepson Cameron Douglas. It may be recalled that actor Michael Douglas’ son Cameron Douglas admitted in a New York court, that he had heroin and was also dealing in large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine out of his hotel room. Cameron also pleaded guilty in a Manhattan court to conspiracy to distribute crystal meth and cocaine and even to heroin possession. His sentencing is due to be held on 27th April.

Catherine Zeta Jones has written a letter to the U.S. District Judge Richard Berman, that he also ought to see ‘the positive attributes’ of Cameron, before sentencing him. She also hopes that the judge would be considerate enough to send her stepson to a treatment facility, rather than behind bars.

“As a mother to Cameron’s half brother and sister, Dylan and Carys, I have seen Cameron be an exceptional brother to both. Never, in my experience over the years, has Cameron shown any signs of the disease, that has tormented him, toward his siblings, or has [he] ever been abusive to us as a family at any time,” she wrote.

Along with Catherine, other family members and friends have also written to the judge, regarding the ‘positive attributes’ of Cameron Douglas. In all, there are around 25 letters in his support.
