Catherine Zeta-Jones visits sick kids in Wales with hubby Michael Douglas
July 24th, 2010 - 5:48 pm ICT by ANILondon, July 24 (ANI): Catherine Zeta-Jones visited sick kids at a children’s hospital in Wales along with husband Michael Douglas.
The visit was part of the couple’s ongoing charity campaign for better facilities.
The Hollywood actors opened the Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff in 2006 and donated a large sum to the Noah’s Ark Appeal, which aims to provide better medical care for kids in the country.
Zeta-Jones, who is a patron of the charity, is hoping to help raise another 7 million pounds for the good cause to build an intensive care unit at the site.
The actress spent 90 minutes touring the wards with her partner, spending time with the young patients and their families.
“It really is an honour for me to come back when it’s running, ” the Daily Star quoted her as saying. (ANI)
