May 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Wednesday, FOX channel’s “American Idol” Season 9 moved a step further towards the finale and the top two contestants in the reality television show were declared. Casey James was voted out of the show on Wednesday night, leaving behind Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze to fight for the ultimate American Idol title. The decision of the voters came a day after the contestants performed two songs each in the show on Tuesday night’s performance episode. No doubt the tension and the excitement were at the peak on Wednesday night among the millions of viewers who tuned into the show to know the top two contestants of “American Idol” season 9.

On Wednesday, host Ryan Seacrest revealed that Casey James, the 27 year old Fort Worth musician had received the least number of votes among the three contestants. Though there is no doubt that Casey James during his tenure in the show has constantly gratified the judges with his peror4mances, he had never as such left the judges spell bounded like Crystal Bowersox. On Tuesday night as well his performance seemed shaky to many and he also missed certain notes. On Tuesday as he performed Eric Hutchinson’s “OK, It’s Alright with Me”, Simon Cowell compared his performance to a salad.

After the name of the contestant to leave the show was declared by the host, Casey James gushed that he just cannot believe the result. He then went on to say that he is thankful for the opportunity that he got to showcase his talent in “American Idol”. The “American Idol” Season 9 is left with 24-year-old Crystal Bowersox of Ohio and Lee DeWyze who will be competing at the finals next week.
