cassey-affleckSep 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Director Casey Affleck is reported to have settled the two disputes of sexual harassment cases where he was accused of making sexual advances on two female crew members of his documentary film “I’m Still Here”. Cinematographer Magdalena Gorka and producer Amanda White had accused him of making unwanted sexual advances and had filed a lawsuit against him demanding $2.5 million and $2 million respectively. They both claim that they had to leave the film as they had no choice and were not paid.

Representative of Casey Affleck said that both the lawsuits have been dismissed as the matter has come to a mutual settlement. Any financial settlement offered to the two parties have not been made public. The deadline in the case was postponed in August and both the parties have finally come to a mutual settlement in their mediation period. Amanda white was the first to sue Casey Affleck along with his company Flemmy productions on the ground of inappropriate behavior on the sets of “I’m Still Here”. She spoke of an event in particular according to which Casey Affleck bought hookers to harass her and Magdalena Gorka.

Magdalena Gorka claimed that Casey Affleck got in bed with her without her permission in her New York apartment and groped her. Though Casey Affleck’s lawyer had dismissed the claims as being without merit it seems that finally Casey Affleck saw the benefit of settling the dispute outside the court. As for the settlement both the women will be credited for their work on the film as they were not paid and had left during the project but no financial settlement has been made public.
