July 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Grammy Winning country singer Carrie Underwood married her long time boyfriend NHL player Michael Fisher yesterday at the Ritz-Carlton- Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia. It was a star studded gala evening where friends and families blessed the couple when they exchanged their vows. The couple kept their marriage a private affair away from media interference and hence no wedding pictures are still released for the fans to see.
The cupid struck the couple in 2008 and in 2009 December they announced their engagement. The couple is said to have spent around $500,000 for their lavish private wedding. Carrie Underwood reportedly looked ravishing in her Chantilly lace dress by Monique Lhuillier, who also designed the bridesmaid’s dresses. The couple looked beautiful and elegant together in their wedding. The couple announced the news of their marriage in a reputed media source where they said that they could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared the day of their marriage with their friends and family that mean so much to them.
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher made it obvious that their wedding ceremony remains private. Outsiders were not allowed in the hotel from the morning to avoid the inquisitive eyes. The couple booked the whole hotel for the guests which included Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell, Chris Phillips, Chris Neil and many others. The wedding featured bible verses and classical music and Carrie Underwood said that the couple plans to stay in Nashville and Peterborough after their marriage.
