Carrie Fisher snorted cocaine on ‘Star Wars’ set
October 12th, 2010 - 12:29 am ICT by IANSLos Angeles, Oct 11 (IANS) Actress Carrie Fisher has revealed that she snorted cocaine on the set of sci-fi film “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back” when she was at the peak of her drug addiction.
The star, who played Princess Leia in the hit franchise, opened up about her battle with drugs and prescription medication, documenting her addictions in her memoir “Wishful Drinking”.
And during an interview to promote the stage adaptation of her tell-all book in Sydney, Australia, Fisher admitted she indulged in narcotics during the filming of 1980 blockbuster.
Fisher revealed she inhaled cocaine as she sat on the film’s famous ice planet set, reports imdb.com.
“We did cocaine on the set of Empire, in the ice planet,” she said.
“I didn’t even like coke that much, it was just a case of getting on whatever train I needed to take to get high,” she added.
