Carrey threw himself down stairs to prove he’s funny

London, Jan 1 (IANS) Hollywood funny man Jim Carrey has revealed that he used to throw himself down staircase during Christmas to prove to his family that he was funny.
The “Bruce Almighty” star, 47, said he used the boyhood stunt to prove he was a budding comedy actor in front of his loved ones, reports thesun.co.uk.
“Christmas was where I started coming into my own as a performer. When other kids were outside playing, I was in my room conjuring characters,” he said.
“All the relatives would storm our house because it was the Jim Carrey show. I was a kid, but I’d throw myself down stairways and do all kinds of characters. That’s how I got popular in my family,” he added.
