Carradine’s family threaten to sue over leaked crime scene photos
June 8th, 2009 - 6:26 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jun 8 (ANI): ‘Kill Bill’ star David Carradine’s family have threatened to take legal action after a Thai newspaper allegedly published crime scene photographs showing the dead actor hanging in a hotel closet.
Carradine’s body had been found hanging in a hotel suite in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 4, and according to reports, he had died when a solo sex act went wrong.
Now, the late actor’s relatives have expressed outrage after local tabloid Thai Rath published a grainy picture, claiming to show Carradine’s dead body.
Officials at the paper did not indicate the source of the image, but Thai police claim it is a picture of Carradine’s body taken by a forensic team.
Carradine’s brother Keith has issued a statement condemning the paper’s actions, calling the publication of the picture “profoundly disturbing”, as a rope seemingly tied around his neck, wrists and private parts could be seen.
“The family wants it understood that, per attorney Mark Geragos, any persons, publications or media outlets will be fully prosecuted for invasion of privacy and causing severe emotional distress if the photos are published,” the Daily Star quoted the statement as reading. (ANI)
