Caroline McWilliams Dies At 64 In Los Angeles

caroline_mcwilliams-1Los Angeles, Feb 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Caroline McWilliams, the noted Broadway and TV actress passed away on Feb 11 in Los Angeles. She died at her home owing to multiple myeloma related complications. The media outlets have confirmed the news of her demise. The actress was 64 years old when she passed away. Her family is in a mournful state, as one can understand. She is still remembered for her stint in the “Benson” series that was popular in the 1980s. She was born in Seattle but her younger years were spent in Rhode Island. She made her debut in the television arena in 1969 and it was in ‘Guiding Light’. Later she won the heart of the viewers after appearing in ‘Another World’ and ‘Beverly Hills 90210′.

She created a splash in Broadway after acting in ‘Cat On A Hot Tin Roof’. She also took part in a number of Shakespeare festivals. She tied the knot with actor Michael Keaton. They have a son named Sean Maxwell Douglas who is now 26 years old. There is no news regarding the timing of a funeral. Her husband who was known for playing Batman on-screen got divorced later. Apart from doing prominent roles in TV soaps and series, the actress acted in films like ‘White Water Summer’ and ‘Mermaid’. She was one of those rare actresses who could manage their careers in films and stage without any problem.

Her sisters have expressed their grief over her loss. Her fans have expressed their condolence in web sites and blog forums already. The film fraternity is yet to come to terms with the loss.
