Carole King to write her memoir ‘Natural Woman’
June 23rd, 2011 - 12:38 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, June 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Carole King is all set to regale her fans with the story of her life in the form of her memoir, which is going to be titled as ‘Natural Woman’. The book will showcase Carole’s amazing journey from a simple and humble housewife to an international popstar.
She has certainly put some thought behind the name of her memoir, as it is the title of the song that she had written with Aretha Franklin. The book is going to be published by Grand Central Publishing.
The memoir would talk about her journey as one part of the songwriting couple, that she used to be with her ex-husband Gerry Goffin. Needless to say, ‘Natural Woman’ would also speak about the experience of ‘Tapestry’, which catapulted her to fame. Very few people know about the fact that she has also worked as an environmental activist and done her bit for the society.
According to Grand Central Publishing, the book is all set to be released in April 2012. Besides the book, a musical is also been planned on the famous songwriter duo.
Recently Carole King surprised all, when she appeared on the farewell episode of Meredith Viera’s Today show and performed a song on the show.
