Carol Burnett to be back on ‘All My Children’

New York, Sept 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Carol Burnett will reprise her role as Verla Grubbs in the Tuesday (6th of September 2011) edition of the show ‘All My Children.’ The actress will be making her reappearance on the show along with stars Jason Kincaid and Jill Larson. The 78-year-old star has a strong connection to the show.

In 1995 when the “All My Children” was marking the 25th anniversary, Carol picked up the responsibility of being the host of the special edition. She was on the show again in 2005 when the 35th anniversary of the show was marked.

On the show, Carol’s character is the long lost daughter of Langley Wallingford. Louis Edmonds plays the character of Langley on the show. In the upcoming episode, Carol’s character will be the love rival of Opal which is played by Jill Larson.

Carol has admitted in the past that she has special place in her heart for the show. In a previous interview, she revealed that the show’s creator did her a huge favor by giving her the role of Verla. The show is created by Agnes Nixon who is also responsible for the show ‘One Life to Live.’
