Carlos Santana proposes onstage to Cindy Blackman

Los Angeles, July 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Carlos Santana is all set to walk down the aisle again 3 years, after his first marriage ended in tears. The guitarist who has won Grammy awards in the 1970’s for hits such as “Black Magic Woman” and “Oye Como Va” popped the question for his girlfriend Cindy Blackman while he was performing on stage in a Chicago suburb on Friday.
The couple shared a steamy kiss to seal their engagement after Blackman accepted the proposal. The audience was cheering loudly for the couple according to reports by Sony Music.
It ought to be recalled that Santana was previously married to wife Deborah and the couple have 3 children as well. Deborah filed for divorce 3 years ago as a result “irreconcilable differences”. She had earlier revealed Santana’s unfaithful ways in a memoir in 2005.
Santana was born in Mexico and has been in the music industry for over 4 decades. He’s won eight Grammy awards and sold over 90 million albums all over the world. Santana is working on a new album and its scheduled to be released in September.
Blackman is a drummer who has worked with Lenny Kravitz. She’s also played for other artists such as Pharoah Sanders, Cassandra Wilson and Bill Laswell, etc.
