Paris, France, July 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Is Carla Bruni Woody Allen’s latest muse? Even if she is, it does not look like the director has taken a liking to her acting skills. According to reports from the director’s latest production “Midnight In Paris”, Carla Bruni was struggling to perform to a simple scene for which the director had to arrange for 35 retakes! Though Woody Allen was at his courteous best, some have said that Carla Bruni did invite the wrath of the director.
Owen Wilson, who is also a member of the cast of “Midnight In Paris”, did his best to help the one time pop singer in her enactment of the scene. The latest Woody Allen venture is a romantic comedy which is scheduled to hit American theaters next year. The film also stars Adrien Brody and Rachel McAdams in lead roles.
The First Lady is to play the role of a museum director in “Midnight In Paris”. It has been reported that husband Nicolas Sarkozy made time from his busy day to be present during the first day of shoot and watch his wife in action. Reports claim that the 42 year old Carla Bruni will be appearing for only a cameo in the Woody Allen production, but her role is definitely of substance in the film. It was in the month of November last year that Carla Bruni first confirmed reports of working with Woody Allen saying that she could never say no where Woody Allen was concerned, but also warning that she may not be that good at acting. Considering what took place at the Left Bank schedule of “Midnight In Paris”, Carla Bruni was probably right!
