London, Nov 24 (IANS) Singer-actress Mariah Carey will be honoured for her acting skills at the 21st Palm Springs International Film Festival in January next year.
Her make-up-free five minute appearance as a social worker in the movie “Precious” was enough to wow award organisers who plan to honour her with their Breakthrough Performance Award, reported contactmusic.com.
She’ll be honoured at the Palm Springs Convention Center Jan 5.
Other stars to receive the award include “Slumdog Millionaire” actress Freida Pinto and Oscar winners Jennifer Hudson and Marion Cotillard.
