Carey Mulligan all set to star in the adaptation of ‘The Great Gatsby’

Los Angeles, Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Carey Mulligan is all set to be a part of a project that is the adaptation of ‘The Great Gatsby’. Her costars are going to be Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire. The project is the brainchild of Baz Luhrmann who wants to make his version of The Great Gatsby. It ought to be mentioned that the novel is set in the 1920’s and perhaps Baz wants to make a modern adaptation of the tale.
In the movie, the Oscar nominated actress is set to portray the character of Daisy Buchanan. Tobey Maguire is set to play Nick Carraway and the Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio is all set to play Jay Gatsby.
Baz is really passionate about his project and he is leaving no stone unturned in having a dream cast for his project. And in this endeavor he has conducted numerous meetings with many actors and their agents in the last 2 months. He wants to make sure that whichever actor he chooses, suits the character and is also capable of playing the part to perfection.
Carey Mulligan was present at the Fashion Council Awards in New York, when she received a call from Baz, who told her that she had been finalized for the project.
