TV pitchman Billy Mays who had ruled the small screen infomercial genre till last Sunday, has died out of a heart attack, as confirmed by the Florida authorities. Since the cause of Billy’s death could not be known, an autopsy was conducted. During a television news conference Vernard Adams, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner has said that according to the results of the preliminary autopsy, it was known that Billy was suffering from hypertensive heart disease. He also added that Billy’s heart was heavier than normal since his heart’s left ventricle was enlarged, which is a major symptom of heart disease. The cause is also told to be pulmonary embolism.
The head injury that billy received during his airplane journey the day before he died, created ambiguity regarding the cause of his death. Billy had received a bump on the head when returning to Florida when his plane faced a rough landing.
But Adams has confirmed that evidences of trauma in the head was not found, neither external nor internal. Relation with drug abuse has also been ruled out as the cause of the death as Mays, who was taking prescription painkillers, Tramadol and Hydrocodone for hip pain, had followed the right dosage, as told by the Medical examiner Adams. It has also been reported that the final complete autopsy report will take more than a week since toxicology and tissue tests are yet to be done.
50 year old Billy Mays was found dead by his wife on Sunday in his home in Tampa, Florida. He is survived by his wife and two children out of which one is a talented musician.

The headline makes you sound extremely ignorant to anyone from the medical community that reads this. EVERYONE dies from cardiac arrest. Cardiac arrest is exactly what it sounds like. The heart ceasing to beat. Try saying heart disease behind Billy Mays’ death, you’ll sound a little more educated.
