jhon Hollywood Feb 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) John Kransinski has been slowly forging his path into Hollywood since the year 2000. Since then he has added several blockbusters to his experience, such as “Shrek The Third,” “Leather Heads,” “Monsters vs Aliens,” It’s Complicated,” and will soon be in “Shrek Forever After.”

With his popularity, “old fashioned look” and the fact that he is American, John has Marvel comics looking at him as a potential future “Captain America.” Marvel, naturally, would like for the role to be played by an American, but would choose an actor of another nationality if no suitable American could be found. (After all, it would be best if Captain America had an American accent, or at least could sound American, right?)

In the the story, Steve Rogers is a sickly young man, and undergoes scientific enhancements to help. He then receives abilities which makes him able to become America’s hero for freedom and justice during World War II.

According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” there are currently seven actors which are being considered for the part. Michael Cassidy of “Smallville,”, Patrick Flueger of “Brothers,” Scott Porter of “Friday Night Lights,” Mike Vogel of “Cloverfield,” Garret Hedlund of “Tron,” Chace Crawford of “Gossip Girls” and of course, John Krasinski. So far all of the actors except Chace Crawford have committed to the screen play test which Marvel has invited them to take. It is not guaranteed, however, that any of them will be chosen.

So tell us America…who would YOU choose for the new “Captain America”?
